The first service at Faith Miracle Centre (Wood Green, North London) was held in October, 1999 with a congregation of 15 people. The humble beginning of this church founded by the much loved late Reverend John Raphael. Faith Miracle Centre was the name given to Rev. John Raphael by the Lord. A place where through faith many miracles will happen. This church has grown rapidly and has attracted congregants from diverse backgrounds.
Few Christian ministers can testify to have died, visited heaven and hell, and had an encounter with Jesus, then return back to tell the story. Rev John was such a man, having been on the brink of death with pancreatic cancer for eleven months, doctors had given him just three weeks to live. It was during a thirty minute personal encounter with the Lord that Rev. John Raphael was given the commission “go and teach my people faith”
God gave Rev John vision and purpose, releasing him into dynamic ministry. He attended Redcliffe Bible College in London, then later enrolled in Spurgeon’s Bible College for a further year, majoring in Old and New Testament. After graduating, he became a co-pastor of Ealing Road Baptist Church in Brentford before leaving to enter ‘Faith Pleases God Ministries’. In 1994, John became an Elim Pastor at Ealing Christian Centre where he served for five years. Rev John has crossed the nations leading thousands to salvation through Jesus Christ, and laying hands on over 100,000 people for healing and deliverance. After his diligent service to the Kingdom Rev John Raphael was called to glory in April 2005.
In July 2005 Evangelist Moses Omoviye was the chosen vessel to lead Faith Miracle Centre. An Evangelist by calling God gave him the grace to Pastor FMC and raise a people for Christ. Through the exploration and revelations of the Word of God, God has performed many miracles and testimonies in our midst. Testimonies such as mortgages for properties paid off, divine settlement with immigration issues, miracle babies and healing from terminal illnesses to name but a few.
Evangelist Moses Omoviye has ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ to many nations from the tender age of 6 years old. Before he was conceived his mother was given a vision by God that she will give birth to a son that will be a blessing to the world. Aged 6 he preached his first message at a main service for the Assemblies of God Church, Ughelli 1 branch in Nigeria where almost the entire congregation weeping & moved by the presence of God answered an altar call.
As an anointed minister in song and words, his gift made a way for him, to meet with the then President of Nigeria Babangida’s wife at the age of 12. With God showing him favour he later ministered in congregations of 1000′s in Nigeria, USA, Brazil, Korea and across Europe. Whilst studying at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Nigeria he became the Senior Pastor of the Casor fellowship. Signs and wonders again followed him as through his prophetic words congregation members still as students relocated overseas, became landlords and owned cars.
In 2002, Moses Omoviye World Outreach (MOWO) began as a special programme at the Assemblies of God Church, Ughelli 1. It is now set as a yearly programme tagged “After This…There Shall Be A Feast” with 1000′s of attendees it attracts people from Europe, USA and throughout Nigeria. Evangelist Moses Omoviye married Chioma Okoro in 2009, and have been blessed with two beautiful children.
